What We Learned
Sometimes it’s better to just do it yourself. After much speculation about what organization they would play for, and playing under the moniker “Team Question Mark” for the first two weeks of the CWL, today Jordan “ProoFy” Cannon announced his team would play under his own org, “Rush eSports“. The group is owned by Cannon and unnamed partners. The team is still ProoF, Whea7s, Pacman, and Colechan. Despite the new org, the players seem to still have the same teamwork issues- their league record is currently 2-3.
OpTic v EnVy is the “El Clasico” of FPS eSports rivalries. Real Madrid and Barcelona have long been at the top of their game and their matches inspire passion and pride from both players and fans alike. Such can be said for the GreenWall and the Boys in Blue, a pair of “brother teams” formed around the same time, and once run under the same partner company. In months past, the victories have gone solidly to one side or the other, but this time around, the teams look better matched. The two squads have nearly all of the former championship winning compLexity teams between them (TeeP and ACHES on EnVy, Crimsix and Karma on OpTic), so it’s a sibling rivalry in that aspect as well. Tonight’s five map slugfest lived up to the hype.
