One week before the start of MLG’s first Call of Duty event of 2016, MLG Anaheim, another Open event has been announced: MLG Orlando. The event will be held at the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal Studios Orlando from August 5th through August 7th.
All 12 of the Call of Duty World League North America teams have been invited to the event, and 96 amateur teams will compete in the Open Bracket. The prize pool is $100,000 (USD) and teams will also earn Call of Duty World League points to help qualify for Call of Duty World Championships in the fall.
As with MLG Anaheim, pro teams from around the world will also be able to compete at this event, but they will have to make the long run through the Open Bracket to get to the Championship Bracket.
