After coming close to winning it all at CWL Anaheim last weekend, Epsilon got the job done on European soil at CWL Sheffield presented by the European Gaming League on Sunday. The team defeated a resurgent Red Reserve with a 3 – 0 sweep in the Grand Finals, taking their second championship title of the year.

The four man squad of David “Dqvee” Davies, Stephen “Vortex” Allen, Billy “Hawqeh” Harris, and Joshua-Lee “Joshh” Shephard will take home $10,000 of the $25,000 prize pool. Epsilon has made a remarkable turnaround since their 21st-24th placing at CWL Dallas in March; they won first place at the CWL Birmingham Open, and they placed 9th-12th and 3rd in their next two competitions.

A total of 75 teams signed up to play at CWL Sheffield over the weekend, but only the top 8 are going home with heavy pockets. One team surprisingly left out of the money placings is Elevate, who are the only Stage 2 Global Pro League team to place outside of the top 8, finishing 9th-12th.
French team Supremacy bounced back well after their woeful performance last weekend at CWL Anaheim where they failed to make it out of the Open Bracket and placed a pedestrian 33rd-40th. Supremacy also failed to qualify for Stage 2 of the Call of Duty World League, finishing 5th-6th in the Relegation tournament so 4th place at Sheffield is quite the turnaround for the team.
